That would be sweet since the ending could of had a little more to it...wow its been a while but I suppose its not that odd since they have added on to series from pretty far back before.

There have been rumors of a Live-action DBZ movie since the time the show first started airing in North America (and probably in Japan as well). Until someone can post some shots, a cast list, a date, a production company, and has a link to a source that is not a fansite, a blog, or some non-corporate thing then no one should take it seriously.

And the last live action Street Fighter movie was god-awful.

I think that they key part of most of these is the identifier:

"No confirmation."

Although I would like to get excited about "Trigun X" as well as some of the others, I think we have to keep into perspective that most of these have either not been confirmed or just don't have an official date of release. Production can take a long time not to mention the resulting litigation for trademarked names, concepts, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of these never made the market and were halted prior to production even begining. I am however hopeful that they will make it through the "pipeline" and make it to our eagerly awaiting hands. Smile

I've heard about the DBZ live action as well, and I don't want to say this but I heard that a possible consideration for trunks was Leonardo Di Caprio (back in the day). I don't have a source on that so it is pretty much inadmissable, but perhaps there once was truth in the floating rumors. I do know that if actors like that have any play in the movie, DBZ will quite possibly be ruined forever. haha... Razz

Right. I'm not saying that we should expect it to come, but it's something to look out for. Indeed, some of these are so farfetched one would wonder if they're really happening.

As for the DBZ...I have never liked the series. No offense, but trying to make a live-action out of an anime breaks the spirit of the anime itself. If they're doing it the other way around I might check it out, but there's no way a DBZ live-action can be good. The Kamekameha (whatever), the flying around, the maniacal laughing, the hair...just...ugh.

There was actually an article that came up on the ANN front page that talked about Romeo and Juliet. A link was also posted to the official site as well.

Exactly so that should be confirmed, and yes I am so looking forward to that, after Gonzo's work on The count of monte cristo it will be interesting to see there view on the second most popular book of all time...

Do you mind not banging on your keyboard with your forehead? Thanks. Confused

Anyway, a lot of these I'm pretty sure I recognize as being from the bottom of Moonphase, which still lists projects that have long since been cancelled. If I'm not mistaken, they still list that BONES anime centered around t.A.T.u, which got canned before production even started.

Trigun X I can confirm, as there was talk earlier in the year of doing a theatrical Trigun film. Here's hoping they start fresh with a proper manga adaptation a la Hellsing Ultimate, rather than trying to fix the existing anime series. Also, this Gundam SEED thing is likely the theatrical film for that franchise which was announced...late last year, I believe, as part of this stupid "Gundam SEED XPLOSION" campaign Bandai's got going (whose crowning achievement thus far has been Stargazer and a bunch of pointless promo crap).

So far, seeing how Gonzo adapt Romeo & Juliet after their work on Gankutsuou remains my most anticipated title for 2007.

Yeah, except this is what they call 'rumors'. I'd bet that not even 5 of them make it to real shows any time in the next two years. This looks like someone's wish list, not their inside information. Just look at the title names: Trigun X, Appleseed, Kingdom Hearts, another gundam SEED (after seeing what they did with Destiny, I can't imagine them actually feeling the need to try and do something else to that series EDIT: well... actually I can, I just hope they don't), another Appleseed show, Devil May Cry, Pac-Man live action, Fatal Frame, Astro Boy, DBZ live-action... come on, how seriously can you take this? As far as I and everyone else should be concerned, this is complete, 100% BS until proven otherwise, not the other way around.

My forehead would cause a lot of letters that wouldnt normally form words, but OKAY!!!

and do you know which ones are cancelled so i dont get all ready for em and then let down!

and to Selenta, i could easily see Trigun X, Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry, FATAL FRAME and a new Appleseed show AND i could even see another Gundam SEED project, however for Pac-Man and DBZ (that i was hyped for a year or 2 ago) i could find that hard to believe since i was let down.....however i could see a Maplestory Anime smile

Well...it's not a wish list. You can visit the website yourself - they have extensive information on upcoming releases, updated around the clock. Any wind that they get, they'll stick it on the list once they get relevant info. I have no idea where the people get this info from, but they supplied some producer/director info along, so I'd say they have done research into the matter. And when I say "not confirmed," I mean that the studios haven't come forward with a news post or a website yet. Do remember that animation studios usually don't try to hype things up like Hollywood does.

Case in point, they have Kiddy Grade 2 on the list with no other info. Why? Because Kiddy Grade mangaka said it on his blog (and I saw the blog). They didn't cite the sources, it's just there (sometimes I wish they did).

Trigun X seems to be confirmed, they just don't have a name yet. Kingdom Hearts might just come down as another kids show like Sonic X (I mean...Disney characters? Come on!),

I have no faith in the live-actions whatsoever though. They're probably going to be shelved into development hell with their crappy premise (PacMan and Metroid wtf?). Here's hoping that Uwe Boll doesn't touch any of them. If you don't know who Uwe Boll is, look him up. Anyone who thinks his movies are good is Uwe Boll.

As for MapleStory...I think it's going to suck. Hard. The game itself has no storyline at all, and if they're trying to make a funny it's either on the ease of hacking up to lvl.90 in two weeks or not at all.

As I JUST got through saying, at the very least the Trigun and Gundam SEED movies are confirmed, as they were announced a year or more ago by official sources as being in production. And some of these titles—Romeo x Juliet, the live-action Blood & Lupin III projects, and the new Evangelion animated films—have even been featured on ANN's front page. A lot of this list is suspect, yes, but there is a good bit of truth to this thing. Like you, I would safely doubt a lot of these video game adaptations and decade-old anime revivals, but some of this stuff is true, has been true, and is foolish to just brush off because other items on the list might not be as legitimate.
