Space Dandy has been confirmed to be only 13 episodes, however if its popular, Watanabe said they have enough alien designs to do over 100 episodes.
I'm a huge BONES fan, but I'm not a big fan of the comedy genre, however I am really pumped for this to come out! |

Darkchibi07, it would be really nice if they actually fleshed out some real roles for the female characters as opposed to just giving us fanservice. Being that I'm saying that as a fan of fanservice anime I feel it's saying a ton.

ROTFL Yeah, riiiiight. I mean, what's the bloody point of that??? Females should be portrayed as the utter two-dimensional brainless sex-objects they are. Am I right, boys? And thank God there's no fanservice for the females out there! That would be unforgivable! *groan* Yeah, still underwhelmed & disappointed. Still NO SALE. (I read someplace, somewhere that Japanese culture is not really down with the sarcasm. More's the pity...) |

So you already know for a fact the character Honey and every single female alien in Space Dandy is a brainless buffoon? Come on. The fanservice was one-sided in Cowboy Bebop, by the way. I know where you're coming from but closing off your mind like this is not wise. |

Honestly, I'm not into the space sci-fi anime, but damn this looks like FUN! I'm hoping the comedy of Dandy is kind of along the lines of Captain Tylor (which I am in SORE need of re-watching!).

I'm into amateur astronomy and the history of space exploration, as well as sci-fi stories, so I wish that we could see a few more shows like Planetes and the like that realistically depict the exploration of space. I know that one was something of a bust outside of Japan, however, so I doubt that we'll be seeing anything in that vein. BONES releases should keep me happy until then though, heh.
