I would really like to have some sort of a 'for sale' thread for us to sell/trade our old anime to other fans. Maybe you could put a minimum of NNN posts and X months since registration before folks could make for-sale posts to help lower the chance of abuse. I just would like to be able to mention if I'm selling something that other anime fans might want to take off my hands. I'd also like to know what other fans are wanting to sell. I figure this is the longest of long shot requests, but it just seems like it would be very useful for folks to be able to trade and sell older titles to other fans. If only one thread was allowed and only folks who had been here for quite a while with hundreds of posts were allowed to post it seems like it might not get too bad.

I'd have to agree with you that it is a bit of a long shot. It is probably a whole hornets nest of people not paying, arguments, bootlegs, spam and so on... I'd give an [OT] forum higher odds than a buy/sell forum. It's a shame though, because bootleggers have made ebay almost a pointless place for anime. There never really is any genuine anime on it, and theres so many bootlegs that I would never even think to look there. |

I think the main concern for not having people sell here on ANN is obviously bootlegs. On top of that there may be overpricing issues as well as payment issues.
