From the looks of Kurapika in his suit, I guess we can see him post-Phantom Troupe arc. Glad to see that the anime is giving more insight on what Togashi hasn't covered in the manga.

Interesting, always wanted to learn more about Netero.

And from the looks of the trailer, it either takes place before or during the Chimera Ant arc...probably before it.

Goody, looks like Killua's the MC again... Rolling Eyes

I have my doubts but I'll see it regardless. Because of the last film I'm not going to be exactly thrilled should this focus largly on killua however it should be interesting to see what the hell Kurapika's been doing since the phantom troupe arc (though if Togashi has nothing to do with it, it'll just fall into irrelevence to me) and I'm also a tad worried that for Gon spoiler[ they appear to be hinting at his forced adult form. Considering how little we know of the specifics behind that I really don't thing it should be treated like some sort of rauzaruk-gear second-super sayin power up. but hey, it was only a trailer and trailers can be misleading *right Phantom Troupe?*]

If anything I'm more cautious then excited.

I don't get what you're saying. I saw Phantom Rouge in the theaters, and I had a lot of fun. Sure, there was a lot of false advertising for the Phantom Troupe, but it was a fun movie for fans.

That part seems to be where the split is... on the one hand I can see how anime only fans could enjoy it, especially if they watched it at the time of the films theatrical release, but I think because I and others have read the manga and have reached our own conclusions about the series we had certian expectations for the film, and in short, the film didn't meet those expectations.

This really is just a quick thought I pulled out of my ass, I don't know if you've read the manga before or not and people's opinions can vary. I personally didn't enjoy this film, even as a extra side story but hey if others enjoyed it then why not let them enjoy it?

imo, while I enjoyed the movie overall, it's only because I know the series, it's a series only for fans, that, and seeing the Kuruta clan was nice, even if brief.

It did have weakness, and it's definitely the combat and the antagonist. spoiler[Omokage] kinda sucked. He was far too weak to be considered even an spoiler[ex-member of the Spiders], and his design looked like a certain character from Yugioh 5D's.

But more importantly, the fights were all too direct. The best parts of HxH is that all the big climatic fights have always spoiler[relied more on wits and and creativity than charging headlong into the enemy.] That is probably the biggest weakness of the film by far. Remember how previous fights had Gon prepare weeks ahead of time in order to fight just a single opponent?
