hi, i'm new on this forum or it's my first time precisely in any forum.
i may be breaking some rules on some grounds but before you shut this thread off, i need some help because i think i'm dying here. basically i just finished watching hunter x hunter last episode of green island and i can't find any other titles. i checked this website but still doesn't say much. i just want to know if there isn't anymore sequel because i mean there is no way an anime could end like this. describing you my pain right now is like a huge knife picking on my heart and it may sound crazy but this anime got in my system. hence i couldn't sleep last night, it's too frustrating not knowing. i know i sound desperate but that's exactly how i feel right now. please help thanks! |

No, it doesn't end with that. The Ryoudan sub-plot is never resolved, and when GI ends, they moved onto the chimera ant arc -- and holy cow it's a mother of a giant arc. It's still in progress. As far as I know, it's only Gon and Killua plus some new characters. Oh yeah you also get to see one of the winners from the Hunter Exam. Following the series is tough because the manga-ka is constantly going on long breaks.
But animated? That's it. |

i've already watched all those sequels already. i'm stopped on the last episode when gon and killua finally got out of the game and that guy they showed in the end. i don't see anymore titles and i can't believe the anime could just finish like this. there are too much things left incomplete and stopping this show at this point is harassement because they're harassing my head

Well, from what I've heard they're waiting for the Chimera Ant arc to end in the manga, and then they will animate it in OVA form. Problem is, the manga's been on and off hiatus for the past year or so: there's no telling when it'll end.

well at least it doesn't end and there's a hope for another ova. i haven't watched a lot of anime and that's because i just got hooked . i've been watching naruto and hunterxhunter the same time but i can't help to feel this whole resemblance they have together. are they from the same manga-kan because if they are that guy really is a genuis. |

No, Hunter x Hunter is by Yoshihiro Togashi (who also did YuYu Hakusho) and Naruto is by Masashi Kishimoto. HxH came out first by a year, and was extremely popular in Japan, and then Naruto was released and stole alot of HxH's attention. There are quite a few similarities. I personally love them both, but I think HxH makes a superior anime, whereas I like the Naruto manga better.

Man, if there is one subject that gets the most threads it HAS to be HxH. I completely understand why... considering it's definitely one of the best shounen out there, and definitely the best adventure shounen.
Personally, I've given up hope on more animated OVAs, but if everything after the end of GI is still the same one arc... I may have been hasty in writing it off. |

*selenta* i remember what you said about the reasons hunter x hunter is not been licensed and i think it's quite clear now that your opinion was probably accurate. hunter x hunter has gotten way far too popular to be licensed and besides if you check youtube the anime is ramping all over right now and others streaming video websites i found out.
if anyone had any hope for the anime to be licensed, we may scratch that because it's not going to happen. unless HXH appear in adult swim but that's just another hope we may scratch over too. all my favorite shows are left hanging or incomplete. twelves kingdoms i finished last night and now my head's burning because there is no ending. and it's ironically odd while you get shows like pokemon or yugi-yo going over 300 episodes and the shows that need more attention are left behind. |

QFT I don't have anything against pokemon or any other show, EXCEPT when they cause people to overlook another great show. I do find it odd that some of the best shows seem to be discontinued or cancelled, while I never see a mediocre show get cancelled. Maybe this is because many of the best shows are much longer than a full season, but they're just soo good

Maybe the best shows are more expensive to make....Well maybe not but maybe the best shows are the best because of that cliffhanger (like Elfen Lied-he anime), then again some shows end (like NGE) in a rush with no real ending.
