This is definitely one of the top five summer series that I am most interested in seeing (the "slice of life X bureaucracy" premise is both interesting and hilarious at the same time). Looking forward to this.
Very Happy

Slice of life/four-panel fluff with some actual ADULT characters? Yes please.

Couple things:

1. When I said bureaucracy, I was referring to government-run agencies (the office isn't about people who work within a government-run agency (it's about people who work at a crappy paper company))

2. Servant x Service actually looks GOOD (the office is a crappy live-action show that, in my personal opinion, has no entertainment value).

3. I am really sick of people comparing Anime to live-action shows that are not even remotely trying to do the same thing (ex. Lucky Star = Seinfeld). They are silly, inaccurate, and ridiculous comparisons.

Bureaucracy can happen in any business or government and share many similarities.

Of course you could have your opinion (even though it hasn't even aired yet but OK). But the fact that The Office lasted 9 seasons and well-received make undeniable that in many people's personal opinions, The Office actually looks good and entertained them for a long time. Your opinion is no better or worse than their opinion. People could opine that Servant x Service is a crappy ugly show with no entertainment value once it actually airs, and I'd tell them the exact same thing I just said to you.

They don't have to do the same things, just enough similarities to base comparisons. We also do such comparisons when we compare anime to other anime. They're both slice-of-life shows, like other anime slice-of-life shows that don't do the same things yet we compare them. Just because one is anime and another is live-action is no different than when one is anime and another is also anime. This one has the additional similarity of being in the adult workplace instead of high school teens much more common in SOL anime. It's all part of the audio-visual medium spectrum.
