There are 161 episodes in Ranma 1/2 (as listed in the encyclopedia), spanning 7 seasons, I think. Plus there are 2 movies and a 12 episode OAV.
Go here to see how many episodes are in each season, because it varies. It's a really long series. I got burned out after the second season. Kudos to you if you can make it through the whole thing ![]() |

18 in the first series, 153 in the second series, with about 22-26 episodes per season for 6 seasons. The two series were done by seperate companies. 6 OVA, 3 Super OVA, and 2 special OVA. Plus 3 movies, one of which is a short pakaged with the OVAs. There are also some specials on laser disc that have no western release.

Be sure to check out the manga; Ranma got me into the anime, and I still love the early episodes, but for my money the manga's better in the long haul. (Can I squeeze a few more cliches in here? Nah.)

Yeah, some of the best stuff was never animated. Ranma is a very long show, but only maybe half was animated. The manga is about as long as Dragonball, and look how long that got stretch out. In short, get the manga, and join in the letter writing to get them to print faster.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's 143 + 18 for 161 episode.
Where can we get some information abotu these to add to the encyc? |

Sean,
If you're thinking about getting the anime, The first 3 box sets are good. Actaully the first box set is awesome and you can get it pretty cheap at some places online. The OAV box is also very good, but kinda steep (a 100 bucks was the cheapest from what I recall, and you only get 12 eps). I really liked the manga (That is how I got into Ranma 1/2), but after book 12, I kinda got bored with it. |
