This is why using someone else's app store is always a tenuous proposition, and also why it's a good thing to deliver your media in transferable files like eManga/DMP

No matter what they do Apple, ComiXology and their customers lose.

It doesn't work well to try and impose standards on what has to be thought of as free expression. Someone will always say something that very nearly everyone else does not want said.

Agreed. I was pretty sore when I found out Apple & Comixology were cutting content. Given I don't read any of the comics or manga titles they have cut. But still, its just kind of a bum move on their part. Sure its just the mature & erotica comics right now, but how long before they start cutting mainstream titles they find inappropriate!? Tis a slippery slope they ride on.

Damn it. I thought this was going to be one of those paid piracy manga apps (those exist right? Or did they get taken down?), and instead it's something stupid.

I know exactly why Maiden Rose was pulled. Thankfully I have a hard copy.

DMI has a way for you to but the digital copies without having to go through Amazon, so it's probably annoying but not a huge loss for them. Hopefully other companies look into doing something similar.

At least now we can properly blame Apple for their draconian policies, and ComiXology is off the hook for the nonsense.

I'm just curious as to why it's vol.01 specifically (what, did no one bother to look at the second volume?)

And this is why you never buy Apple products.

This is hardly life crippling. Since the content is still avalible if you're willing to not buy through the app.

I haven't read the manga, but I've seen the anime, and I'm pretty sure the content in question for the first volume is scene a of dubcon/noncon that could easily be construed as rape. I usually don't have any problem with dubcon and the occasional noncon, but it's not difficult to understand why some would be offended. However, I found that scene to be massively tame in comparison to the type rape/noncon that can be found in heterosexual hentai anime/manga.
