Agreed. It does look a lot like FLCL doesn't it. Can't say it looks all that interesting to me, but it seems like one of those marketing machine series that generate revenue for the company, and there is nothing wrong with that. As long as they make money, they keep producing anime. That's where my heart lies. |

Ya even with the image being kind of "out" there, I am not going to judge anything until I get a chance to see what it is about. After all the work this company has done and their track record it really hard for me to vote against them. I still can't wait to see how this thing turns out. Till next time, Delta Kiral |

I wouldn't normally be interested, but since its Gainax, I'll probably check it out.

Blue Uru was getting bogged down so they dropped it and did a thing called Shin Seiki Evangelion instead. Yasuhiro Takeda talks about it in his book The Notenki Memoirs (Published in English by ADV Manga) |

So that what happened? Who exactly was the creator that was supposed to be involved but then died recently? *summons the Encyclopedist* |

Looks promising. I've read that the later and less successfull work of Gainax (Konomini, HIMM and probably the upcoming Negima S2) was done to 90% by Shaft, and then Gainax put their fancy name on it. This, on the other hand, looks more like Abenobashi, which is like FLCL on the cheap. I'm gonna watch it. |

Looks to me like a cross between Eva and FLCL. If I went on art style alone, I'd be all over it. I want to hear more about it...but it is a giant robot show, so it's already in favor.
What I really want, though, two words: Gainax Ending |

The creator was Yoshida Sunao. Apparently the series was delyaed after his death and slated for a 2005 release...now people are saying it may get a 2006 release. Since his death they had planned an OVA series, but there was no official announcement as to which it would be ( a 26 eps series or OVA series). More: http://www.gainaxpages.com/anime/bushilord.php |

It's funny what happens when someone makes an iconic product. Everything that they make afterwards gets immediately compared to it. It's gotten so obvious that GAINAX is even trying to put EVAisms into their shows. I'm keeping an open mind about this show for now, but I wonder how their Hyperbolic Adolecense Story(TM) is going to fit. |

I think I can look forward to it for some wacky and stylish animation at the very least, since Hiroyuki Imaishi is directing it. Yeah, rather cliche descriptors but how else can I say it... well, it'll hopefully be very dynamic. It seems like they'll give it a good budget... I hope they use it wisely - maybe that's too much to ask for, hm..

Making a stupid snap judgment from ONE picture, I won't like this much.
But honestly who the hell knows, I don't know what the story is yet. I didn't much like Shoping Arcade much, so I hope it's not too much like that... |
