My friend who is new to anime wants me to make her an anime MP3 cd with various music from anime shows or movies ect. I want to put the best of the best on there. She likes melodies and all sorts of styles. I have 3 from Cowboy Bebop, several from Trigun, and a few from Eureka Seven so far. Has anyone else got some suggestions of songs or intrumentals from anime soundtracks? Feel free to mention all that you like and please try to leave the name of the song and the anime its from so i can look it up. Thanks in advance, i appreciate it!!!!!!

I would say to check out the Fullmetal Alchemist openings and closings, as well as the FLCL soundtrack. Those are more J-Rock/Pop in style. If she's looking for girly ballad stuff, there's a lot of those on the Inuyasha soundtrack (not to make fun of the girly ballads, I'm just not that into them).
If you want more instrumental types, there's Macross Plus (Yoko Kanno did this soundtrack too, before CB); the opera score from episode 14 of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu was really good too (the songs from episode 12 kick a$$, so you might try them, but they're more rock). You've already got Cowboy Bebop on there, which is the most important thing! Maybe try Samurai Champloo too, for some hip-hop flava. Um, that's all I can think of for right now -- hope this helps! |

Another style of theme music you should check out is those by Kajiura Yuki, prominent in titles such as Mai-HiME, Mai-Otome, and the Xenosaga series.
A few songs that stand out that I can recall at the moment is Mai-HiME- Mezame, Yamiyo no Prologue, Ensei, Shinwa no hate ni Mai-Otome- MATERIALIZE, Mai, Ikusa Otome, Sei Otome No Inori I dont know names of themes in xenosaga off the top of my head. |

The Dragon Ball GT theme song rap RULES! Haha just kidding, its good for a laugh but otherwise it sucks. Samurai Champloo, Yu Yu Hakusho, Full Metal Alchemist, and Ghost in the Shell 2nd GIG all have really great opening theme songs. To me there aren't many good ending themes except for Yu Yu Hakusho, which i love. Check them all out.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this question but I need help with Gundam Seed Destiny music CDs. Does anyone know how many OSTs there are for SEED Destiny? I want to purchase OSTs (orchestra only) and a CD with end songs + Lucas's song. There are many CD titles for SEED Destiny and since I don't know the titles to the songs or background music, I find it hard to buy music CDs. Any advise or recommendations? It would be very helpful if I can sample the music before purchasing.
