Is "Silver Spoon" close to ending? Drawing two series at once might be a little too much for Arakawa.
Great news regardless.

Could be her assistants doing the bulk of the work on Arslan with her doing key panels.

She was writing Hero Tales and Fullmetal Alchemist at the same time and those were fine.Besides she already has script for Arslan Fantasy, she is just in charge of art for manga.

Fascinating. I remember the Arslan anime, it'll be bit of getting used to, jumping from the anime faces to Arakawa's art style (assuming the article's art is representative).

For a moment, I thought she was doing another story set in the far past of Fullmetal Alchemist. But this is good too.
Kinda wished she chose Legend of the Galactic Heroes instead. Or Ryoko's Case File.

I am ridiculously excited about a new Arslan adaptation, but not so much about Arakawa being on it. I am resistant to change and her art style is a big change.

Well this is interesting. I've seen the Arslan anime that they released a couple of years ago but was disappointed that they didn't finish it, the new artwork looks good, hopefully this will generate more interest in the series so we might see another anime adaption.

I really liked the Arislan anime, so this is pretty interesting.
I don't really read manga, so I probably won't go for this one, but on the off chance that this version gets an anime adiaptation, I'll be all over it.

Looks promising, but I can do without the protagonist looking like an Albino Edward Elric.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted by this news. Arslan is one of my favorite Tanaka properties, so I'm always up for a revival, but I'm not actually that big on Arakawa as a mangaka.
I guess I'll wait and see.
