A certain Italian plumber actually came to mind first.

I was hoping this would be the case. Oh well.

Wasn't the four-page thing they ran the 4-page prologue that ran in Weekly Jump in Japan, or am I mistaken in saying that?

Mafia themes and Kishimoto's art? Oh, I'm on board. Here's hoping for a full-fledged - albeit shorter than its predecessor - series to come out of this.

I've heard people say that Kishimoto has state before that his next series after Naruto would be mafia based. This is probably a good idea of what that'll be like with some tweaking the same way the original Naruto one-shot was tweaked.

Viz is probably going to edit out all the swear words and suggestive themes when they print this.

I thought he said he wanted to do a baseball manga a long time ago after Naruto.

^Well he did do that one-shot a few years back that was focused on a 3rd-string middle school baseball team.
I'm interested to see the one-shot. Partly because it's more content for my buck since I've got the year-long WSJ subscription, but mostly because I'm hoping it'll be Kishimoto doing something different. The last...well several years have given me the impression Kishimoto isn't all that excited about Naruto anymore, and I think he can be a good writer when he's got passion for a project.

I wanna blow your mind here and point out that most swear words you've probably seen in the fan-translated editions aren't actually in the original Japanese text. Not a huge tendency for swearing in teen publications, funnily enough, which is exactly what Jump SQ is. Fan-translators tend to take liberties to try and make what they're reading a bit more... mature, I guess?
Though i wouldn't be surprised if a one-shot with a bit of a seinen bent like Mario actually threw a few curses in.
