To tell the truth, I hated the game because of Square more than Disney. It's like Secret of Mana with no strategy and tedious mini-games which function as objectives. But then Square hasn't made a good game(i.e. one with an ending or no
programming glitches) since FF4.

That's bull, Gatsu. FFIX had a spectacular ending and was extremely tight, from a programming perspective. It was an excellent game.
Kingdom Hearts was a repetitive, boring waste. I got sick of hitting the X button over and over and over.. "Huh! Huh! Haaaah!" That's the whole game. Do one attack over and over again. Fun. Cool concept, poor execution. I played through to the Nightmare Before Christmas level and ended there.

Why are we even believing this will be a direct to video animation? I, personally, don't think it will. Kindom Hearts had a nice span of advertising, and I think that is what brought most of the people to buy it. It was a pretty popular game so i'm taking that it might just be released on television.

I have a feeling it's going to be a semi-short movie, maybe an hour long. Thats just my instict though.
Personally though, I'm hoping that I'm right, I would kind of prefer it to be a movie. Movies have more of an emotional effect on me than series.
I can't wait to see what kind of eye candy this is going to be though!

ARCH... People afraid of the disney "Look" being in there obviously don't keep up on their Anime history.... The first animator in Japan was trained By disney and created the "Big eyes" thing based on his prior work there...

Zac: FF IX=DBZ rip-off with references to earlier FF games. I would've been glad if they stopped there, but then they decided that they should use idol singers to fight demons, since androgynous angsty leads just weren't being taken seriously. Best RPG that came out that year was Dragon Warrior 7, hands down.

Any hoot, I happy to see that anime series based on the game is coming out. I loved the game with it came out, I might love series, and maybe a year after the anime series, when KH2 comes out, I might loved that. Now if people will stop IM me about how they hate it.

meh , what about FF6?
Anyways as for the anime , do you think it'll follow the same plot as either or the KH games? OR do you think it'll have a completely new plot having nothing to do with the games?

I think the anime will be mostly of a sidestory or maybe a story leading onward towards a new sequel.

I gotta agree with Zac. What are you talking about? DBZ and idol singers?
Anyway, the game was supposed to be sort of a homage to it's predecesors. Taking the best parts and putting them into one game and going back to SD character designs. FFIX was supposed to be the last FF made in the original design. Sort of like a going away present, while the current line (X, X-2, XI, etc.) of FF's were going to continue to evolve into something new and better.

I thought they took the Big eyes from Bettie Boop cartoons not Disney.

Main characters in FF9 have tails and are from different planets, Goku and Vegeta have tails and are from different planets.

Gatsu, one main character in FF9 has a tail. He is not from another planet.
In closing, you are lame.

actually our little monky friend Zidane was from another planet....although I don't think FF9 had anything to do with DBZ.
