The movie looks like a very rough cut of the game so I'm going to reserve judgement. However does anyone know when it takes place? Given the title I would think it takes place before the colony drop on Sydney. If that's the case it's kind of odd that you can MSs like Gelgoogs and Doms (although if they didn't include MSs that came after the amount of MSs would be very restricted).

I've been watching the progress of UCGO ever since its website first went up (how long has it been now, a few years?). I'm not sure if the game plays like an action game or more like an MMORPG (when fighting), but I'm sure any Gundam fan would love to play it, myself included.
My only two problems with it right now is that 1) it's not in English, and I have yet to hear of plans to release an English version, and 2) there seems to be too much "flat desert" areas (should be able to see that from the video). I mean, I know that Australia is kinda like that, but it could at least have had some more hills....
Either way, I plan on playing it in the event it is more like an action game (Armored Core, yay!), as I hate how MMORPGs limit you to standing in one spot while fighting - no fun in a Gundam game.

I am not all that impressed by that video. Like you said the lack of detail or anything is kinda unsettling. Also just watching the Mobile suit move around they seems really stiff and just unfun. I've played the last couple of Gundam games that have come out and there all the same bsaic controls, the robots move like cardboard boxes. I remember when the Gundam 0079 sidestory came out on dreamcast like 6 years ago, and the control are still the same.
Till next time,

its such a great feeling to enter this thread looking for more info on this game, but instead to get UC spoilers, thanks a bunch TranceLimit! Good to know there are people out there who are considerate enough to share the story of UC for those of us who haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.

Dude, you learn about Operation British within the first five minutes of the first episode. And the deployment of the MS-09 and MS-14A aren't spoilers.
Don't go pitching hissy fits over every little thing, yeesh.
