Well it looks like Gyou/Akira/Akatsuki Yamatoya got merged into one...
...but the point is his name is not Akatsuki Yamatoya, it's Gyou Yamatoya, at least according to this scan I posted earlier here. It says there next to "series kousei" ... in little furigana, やまとや ぎょう. And I highly doubt it's a photoshop. (But god, he must suck if he did Buzzer Beaters... X)) Here is an entry that needs to be split: Hiroko Igarashi. I added the voice credit and it should be separate from teh backgrounds, the profile for that seiyuu is here. The backgrounds person would be 五十嵐広子 according to JMDB . EDIT: Also, Tomoyuki Shimizu is 2 people: one is the background artist with the given name, one is the special effects designer called 清水智行 as per m-satomi's site. And now I will be annoying and say for the possibly 3rd or 5th time... Please merge Akiko Ikeda into Shoko Ikeda. I know I've added those Haruhi things to Akiko Ikeda but that's because I wanted it to be consistent in one entry (I didn't add the main credit of Character Design...) Also I did some research on Hiroshi Yamamoto when I noticed he was subtitled as "Yutaka Yamamoto" in a.f.k's subs. In fact, his name *is* Yutaka Yamamoto (Yutaka being another reading of 寛). Some sites that claim this - and I trust they're pretty reliable seeing how much of a boom Haruhi is; and otaku can find any small detail about a person if they really tried... furigana being a rather simple task Hatena entry (see grey box below that shows furigana) A small 2ch thread (okay, not very reliable but..) blog #1 blog #2 blog #3 blog #4 EDIT: More people to be split up. Rie Shibata Actress and colourist have teh same kanji. The picture is for the actress. Yoshiko Tanaka The KyoAni digital composite lady is the person with the given kanji. The actress is 田中好子 (see here.) Saori Ito One is the backgroudn artist with given kanji. The other is half of the duo Hokuyoh, 伊藤さおり. Yes, she appeared in Duel Masters... notice her partner Mihoko Abukawa also appeared in a small role there. |

For Machida, Doko and Machida, Kyosuke
person#26799 person#18242 I think these are the same people, first of all seeing that they have the same kanji name 待田堂子, but I don't think for the first name 堂子 reads as Kyosuke as the kanji 子 in names are almost all the time read as 'ko', so Kyosuke is the likely the wrong one, and making a search for the series done by Kyosuke it was indeed done by 待田堂子 so i think it was more of a mistake of the romaji name. I can't confirm the screenplays by Doko but i think it refers to 待田堂子 as well. And one more thing is that I think 堂子 reads as 'Touko' not Doko. So I think these two entries should be combined under the name Machida, Touko. |

Fortunately nobody has made this mistake yet, but I'd like to mention that Lupita LEAL and Guadalupe Leal is the same person. The actress uses the name Lupita Leal as her voice name. Maybe it would be a good idea to put it in her profile or something.

Please forgive me for not looking through all 30+ entries to see if this one was previously discussed.
The entry for Houchu Ohtsuka (7134) lists his birth name as Yokitada Ohtsuka. There is a separate entry for Yokitada Ohtsuka (2387); now, not only do the pictures look like the same person at different ages, but I know characters performed by these "two" people, and I would swear on...on something relatively sacred that it's the same person. |

Next time, it's good to know that on the top right part of the screen, there is this "Forum Functions" part, which has a search option. You can enter your search string and limit it to the encyclopedia. If your duplicate has been noticed before it'll surely pop up. I must admit, it only give you the post in which your search appears. To be sure of the correct given name-last name combination, you'll still have to browse the whole 33 pages (but then again, the seach string will appeat in orange bold text, which give you a small advantage) This time you're lucky : it's a new duplicate.
