Okay, I have a series of manga, but everytime I go to the store where I bought it (Borders), Barnes N' Noble, Library, and other areas, I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I would go online and buy it, but I am in a condition where I can't. Does anyone have an idea, as to how I can get my book in the next volume?
Note: I have already seen it on a bookshelf before, but that was before I began the series. Also, I sorry, but I do not want to give out the name of the book. It makes it difficult, I know, but help someone? From, A very Greatful Person to Whom Every Gives A Suggestion |

Is it just one specific volume you can't find or is it more than one? If it is just one specific volume, is it released yet? I found that I absolutely could not find a certain volume of a certain series this one time, only to find out the hard way later that the volume wasn't due out yet. Or, perhaps it was just really popular and sold out fast? I don't often find that one specific volume of manga is missing in multiple bookstores, but I guess that could hold true.
Are there any Japanese bookstores near your area? There's a Kinokuniya close to where I live, and they stock lots of English-translated volumes. I imagine that in a Japanese bookstore, these English-translated volumes would be in less popular demand as opposed to the Japanese volumes. Also, try some of your local comic book stores (if there are any) as I find there's often a lot of manga there too. I guess your best bet would be to keep searching various stores. Well if you go there rather often, just ask a clerk if he/she can order it. Usually those bookstores order it for you, call you when it comes in, and then you just go buy it. S'what I do when needed. (missed KH volume 1, so I did it this way, took a while though cause it was on backorder...)

If it's the case that the series you're looking for is very popular and the books sell out faster than you can get to the bookstore or it's a quirky, nearly unheard of title that Borders only stocks at one volume at a time, ask someone who works at the bookstore to reserve a copy for you the next time a new shipment comes in. I only buy what my library doesn't carry, and they have a rather large selection so I usually have to reserve my books. Your resistance to reveal the title of the manga leads me to believe it is pornographic, and if it isn't yaoi you're going to have a hard time finding any place that'll carry it. If this is the case, and your reason for not being able to purchase it online is that you aren't old enough to own a credit card and don't want to ask your parents to buy it for you, wait until you're old enough to have a job and buy it with your own money. (Honestly, kids who buy porn with their allowance money sicken me.) Sorry if I've offended you with my wild assumptions as to why you aren't telling us the name of the series you want; it could be possible you're just buying something from an "embarrassing" genre, like maybe you're a strictly-shonen fan who wants to explore some of the girlier shojo manga, or want to buy something primarily for children like Pokèmon comics and you're afraid people will ridicule you.

It takes 2-3 weeks, granted, but it's the cheapest way to buy. They are guaranteed to have virtually everything in stock, my only complaint is the wait. They use to be on ebay but now just sell an online store.... prolly because of all the negative feedback from taking almost a month for orders. |

Unless they have a mail order form I'm not seeing, that won't work. On the other hand, Ange Killer, The Right Stuf International does allow for mail order. So you might want to check them out. Although, they always seem to backorder the manga I order. I usually use it to fill out orders to receive free shipping, but a lot of time the manga seems to take an extra few weeks (or in the case of .hack//Legend of the Twilight vol 3, a few months). Otherwise your best bet is simply to ask a clerk to get it in for you, like others suggested. They usually don't seem to mind doing that at all. |

Oops, missed the no on-line part. I thought eveyrone had the net... 
Definitely best way is to just ask people who work there. They want you to buy books, if you tell em you'll buy a copy they might even put in an order for you from their warehouse or whatever. |
