KnT over a million again.
Nozoki Ana has a double edged sword of appeal. It is a really great seinen, ecchi romance which both enhances and limits its appeal.
Vividred Operation charted while offering little more than some extra nudity and contact. Will be interesting to see if there is any relationship with the BD sales.

How can One Piece sell 400+ before the release? are this the number of reservations? If it is the reservations why put them in the ranking?
But either it is the reservations or something else I have to tell than One Piece is great and is been having a great sell live! I'm expecting new records now that the Z movie was in theaters.

It's the pre-orders and the people getting their volume early, they are always included in the rankings but of course are usually not massive enough to put the volume in first place.
On a side note, I think this is the first time since volume 56 that a One Piece volume fails to crack 3 million before the next one is released (and it's had 4 months to do it this time). Wonder if there will be a One Piece Z effect for this one, we'll see next week I guess.

Manga sometimes ships a few days before release. Other times it misses the date... sometimes by months. Believe me you want to preorder, that is the only way to guarantee you get a copy before the first reprint. Manga, novels and BD use preorders to decide how many to make these days, so pre order or prepare for disappointment. Popular stuff sells out fast in stores too, found that out the hard way when I lived in Japan. Pre order or stay home...

It's probably not a big deal, but I noticed that And Yet the Town Moves links to the anime page rather than the manga. (also: yay, 9th place! I don't know if my Kinokuniya US order contributed to that, but I'm happy knowing it's on its way to me!)

Also of note is that Ansatsu Kyoshitsu (Assassination Classroom) is ranked 12 with aound 50000 in sales, and it also isn't officially out yet

Pretty much all the ones with an adaptation link to the anime. I believe its how ANN's system automatically inserts links when it sees a word its knows. At least, that's the only way I see why some articles with Satoshi Kon would link to K-ON!

That is the case sometimes, but we certainly try to avoid odd linkings like that whenever possible. Thanks for the heads up on the anime adaptation links, I've corrected them so the original manga title is what's linked to, with the English translation in parenthesis instead.
