I didn't knew they held contest for "real" moe queen (and I have difficulties using the word "moe" to describe anything real but...)

... 17. And remind yourself the age of consent is different in every country. But even then that's irrelevant since it really doesn't have to be mentioned here. It's just a contest and not that hard to not mention such a thing at all. -.- |

Pedophilia doesn't even have anything to do with age of consent but the sexual attraction of a person who is 16 or older to a person that has not reached puberty yet. Anything older and it doesn't count as pedophilia. Laws mean shit |

Age of consent is different in Japan (I believe the age of consent in Japan is 13 under Japanese penal code article 176 and 177). Although the closest thing to what you're saying is Junior idol, I've read that children as young as 5 are doing these questionable modeling. I remember reading this article about Junior idol and some minor legal and ethical controversy over having pre-teens dress in scantily clad outfit. It does creep me out when I read about this. Actually, a lot of it DOES. Cultural difference also plays a huge role. But I'm not getting into that. That's a whole other beast. bottom line, its different. And yeah, someone like a 5 year old is a bit problematic. |
