Not surprising. Key seems to be Sentai's meal ticket after all.

Actually it stems back before Sentai, to the ADV days.
Between ADV & Sentai, save for Toei's Kanon & Kanon Special, they've licensed every Key anime ever made.

at least it's not anywhere near as bad as aniplex and type moon could you seriously ever find a better example of milking a group of fans for all they are worth.
this examples why WB pulled their head out of their $%*&( and let a simulcast happen though. everyone was a little tentative (and justifiably so in my opinion about JC staff of all people doing this adaptation, atleast it wasn't studio deen I guess)

Yeah, they took a long time to get this but I knew they would get it. After Komari's route pretty much failed at building emotion my hopes for JC's adaptation pretty much dropped. I was one of the seemingly few people that had faith in them. Overall it's still not too bad honestly, but the VN is a 100 times better when I was hoping I would be saying the VN was only 10 times better.

after deen destroyed umineko I learned the warning signs and the animation budget was a major one, the second was the director, they got the first episode right so everyone gave them a free ride is the way I have come to understand. why else would anyone think little animation is a good adaptation.

Sweet. Now, I may have to cease my viewing on CR in favor for the high quality physical release. I'll certainly get this when it's release in the US.

Why? So your first viewing experience will be on DVD or BD? Actually, I do wonder if this series will get a BD release.

Going by Sentai's history with Key titles, I'd say "yes".
Clannad was picked up when the company was rather new, so it's kind of a special case.
However, Angel Beats started with a dub+DVD/BD release.

So chances are, it'll get a dub+DVD/BD release as well.

Just finished the VN so this is exciting news!

Weird that Crunchyroll decides to get it now instead of last season when it started.
Actually I'm almost disappointed, I really liked Mazui's fansub of it. Not that I have any problem with Crunchyroll's subs (they're certainly better than the vast majority of fansubs!), other than still not translating song lyrics, but it's always strange switching translations.
