Domo-kun TV show being developed for Nicktoons
Domo-kun is, of course, the brown rectangular mascot that chases down kittens and spoiler[kills them everytime you masturbate]. It may not look like "traditional" anime ... but it is certainly a first for the network. |

I don't really know what to say about this news it just kind of surprised me. I know it's a comedy but I haven't seen the actual show, does it have a lot of cultural references that will be taken out or is it pretty mild in that regard?
And they're also developing an animated series based on this manga? Crazy. |

It sounds more like they're developing their own series based on the character, so I don't think "hacks and slashes" are really an issue. It does bring up the question of what changes they'll make in the characters for an American audience, tho'. But from the article, I doubt they'll do anything too different. |
