About Valis: The Fantasm Soldier
The story begins with Yuko Asou – an average, ordinary teenager who transforms into the Warrior of Valis. She is tasked by Queen Valia to save the dream world, Vanity, from the emperor named Rogles. Yuko sets off to defeat Rogles, but first, must defeat his four subordinates, the Vagues, and capture the five “Fantasm Jewels.” This is where the legend of the Warrior of Valis is born.

About Valis II
The follow-up to The Fantasm Soldier released on June 23, 1989, Valis II was also released on the PC Engine. In its initial release, new gameplay elements were added, including weapon and armor selection. The story begins where The Fantasm Soldier ended with the death of Rogles. Vanity is now left without a ruler, leaving the dream world spiraling out of control.

Yuko Asou, conflicted between the anti-Rogles forces led by Phantom Emperor Megas and what is left of the Rogles' army, returns to Vanity once again with the help of Reiko Kirishima who guides Yuko as an apparition and even in her dreams. Can Yuko protect herself and prevent the Megas army from taking the Valis Sword?

About Valis III
Valis III is the third installment of the Valis series and was originally released on PC Engine on September 7, 1990. Alongside a more expansive world and a bigger focus on character development, Valis III also introduces two new playable characters, Valna and Cham. With three characters in a player's party, players must switch between each character as their unique attacks and skills benefit against specific enemies.

Yuko, and her two partners, Valna and Cham, must band together and fight King Glames – the ruler of the Dark World who seeks to conquer both Vanity and Earth. Will Yuko and her Valis sword protect her new friends and save the world once again?
