Shocked

While I enjoyed the Higurashi anime just fine, I did soon realize that in terms of adapting the story, they did a spotty job during the first series.

I can't wait to watch a potentially better adaptation of my second-favourite anime series/franchise.

Wow, what the hell? I did not expect this at all.

I'm quite interested.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but...
what do they mean by 'relaunch'?

I'm wondering the exact same thing. Hopefully we can get some clarification.

Still not sure what they mean by "relaunch" but I'm still excited either way. I always liked Higurashi because of the girl's going crazy at Keichii or shouting at him with those lizard eyes. It always got me excited when I see one of them do that because it's like the phrase "it just got real." In other words get hyped somebody's going down lol.

Can't wait for this.

Hmm, interesting, it's been awhile since I've watched anything from the Higurashi franchise.

Well, if that's not a Merry Christmas present to Higurashi fans. Maybe this will finally get someone to pick up the first season instead of paying those outrageous secondary market prices.

Perhaps they mean "remake" when they say "relaunch," not that the two are much different from each other.

Maybe this will be the definitive "first" season of Higurashi, the Kanon 2006 to the Kanon 2002 in which there's less DEEN face involved and better animation and pacing.

If it ever comes to America, I will own it. I say this for every anime that comes from the Higurashi franchise.

"Relaunch" simply means starting it up again. If you look at the article, "Higurashi Outbreak" is what's coming first. With the side games and manga, there's still a bunch of unanimated arcs.
