Since I'm learning Japanese, I've decided to read children's manga to help the language stick.
This is what I'm looking for. It's out of print and I can't seem to find the books anywhere. I know that scans exist, but I'd really like to own the physical books so that I can read them anywhere and without having to pull them up on a computer. I've checked Amazon, Ebay, and the former publishers themselves- Coro Coro Comics, all of whom were extremely unhelpful. Does anyone know where else I should look, or if there is some sort of out of print manga black market? Thanks a million. |

You can buy them, say, at Amazon Japan Marketplace. If the seller says, 'I don't ship books to foreign countries', it may be not a bad idea to use a proxy service company. http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4091430813/ http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4091430821/ |

Try Rakuten, too. I usually go there when I want to find older OOP manga.

Yahoo Auctions Japan is a pretty good bet. I find the best, rarest stuff there!

Sometimes Comic stores that have been open for a long time can be useful, but when it comes to Out of Print Manga in America I'd have to say go to a really good anime convention with a really REALLY good vendors room, you can find all sorts of old school treasure in there. As for Japanese Manga... I'm useless, sorry! Maybe you can read it online, that's what I'm doing with GTO.

the only option if nothing works is with buying online:
a collectors convention or a comic collectors storage unit that is for sale (with a bit of luck you can find one in those) |

The Internet is your friend here buddy. Search and you will find.
![]() Google usually gives me the results I'm looking for. I mean, I found at least 8 of the mangas I've read through Google. If that doesn't work, you can probably try other search engines like Dogpile and My Search Results. As I said, the Internet is your friend here, and search engines are your wingman. |
