Sorry if this has already been done, but it would've taken too long to search the entire forum. Anyway, what song(s) are you listening to at this very moment?

Seeing as there are now restrictions implied....
Shikinouto form the Samurai Champloo. The base line has an easy hook for me although the first verse is rapped?/sung off beat. The production alone makes the song an easy top te but the T.V. version doesn't even do it justice seeing as they only used the intial loop instead of the cresendo or the chorus inclusion. Inner Universe from Ghost in the Shell is okay but the mid english lyrics in the hook always throws the song off in my opinion; been listening to that song almost a year now and I can never adjust to it but I still say that its one of Kan(n)o's finest production I've heard. Bebops the Real Folk Blues but once again i can't really re-adjust to when they throw english lyrics right in the middle of the song (a friend of mine plays the rewind game ("Yo rewind that I swear I heard some english that!" when he hears it) but the bass guitar steals the show in my opnion but whoevers vocals on that held up pretty good. |

S.H.E. - Mei Li Xin Sh Jie
Nice and poppy, good for keeping me awake when studying. Yes, it's on the pop side and some may brand it as something that can't be distinguished from a billion other mandarin pop groups, but I still like it, pah! |

Um, they are not involved in anime, not even J-POP. |

Right now, I'm listening to Metropolis OST by Toshiyuki Honda. The movie may have been a bit lackluster, but the music is just captivating with its use of New Orleans style jazz. Not as good as Cowboy Bebop, but still worth listening to.

carrying on after a nap at the wheel... =) I came across "Onegai Twins" early last summer after having been dumped (yup, that woman trouble thing again). "Asu e no Namida" got heavy time play time after that for the simple reason it was catchy and distracting...plus I'd gotten tired by Hamasaki Ayumi's "Angel's Song" by then. |

I wonder how many here have heard this one I'm listening right now: Osanpo Kyousoukyoku (おさんぽ協奏曲; Strolling Concerto) by Fumiko Orikasa (as Miu Matsuoka of Ichigo Mashimaro). Simply THE funniest anime song I've ever heard. Just think of a rap song by a loli brat.
![]() While most seiyuu sing songs with their own voices instead of their character's voices, a selected few could sing as their characters, and Orikasa-san has done it PERFECTLY -- not only with Mic-chan's voice but also with her emotion. Because of her performance as Mic-chan, she has become one of my top five most favorite seiyuu. |
