I disagree with everyone who didn't like Life is Like a Boat. Rie Fu is probably my favorite singer, and I think that song is actually quite touching and very nice. The English didn't bother me at all, as Ms. Fu is fluent in English (the best english I've ever heard in Japanese music is in her songs), and I thought it made the song that much nicer.
As for the rest, yeah. The openings get progressively better and the most recent one rocks like no other.
I also dislike the new ED. It doesn't fit the current mood at all.

The new ending dose if you read the lyrics to the song.

I meant the style of music doesn't fit.

None of the styles for the ending songs fit. Bleach I admit is more rock oriented but whatever. I like the fact that the ending songs don't fit in. It just makes those songs more memorable than the rest. I recently got a song by Homemade Kazoku titled "Home Sweet Home". I think that would be the perfect ending song near the end of the soul society arc when Ichigo and crew head home.

I think Houki Boshi fit quite well. It's a more rock oriented J-pop song. Also has a good beat, and the singer doesn't have that helium voice (like the current one does). The changing ending animation was also really cool.
Edit: I just noticed you agree with me in the first post.
Life is Like a Boat should have been the second ED while Thank You should have been the first. I have always thought this.

I want to know why the OP songs keep sounding more and more like each other.
They all start with the exact same descending three-note motif. It was pretty cool with Orange Range, took a while to grow on me with Uverworld, and now with High and Mighty Color I just don't care anymore.
Is there some secret rule from the TV producers that if you want to write a Bleach theme song you have to start with mi-re-do?

Ok now for thoughts on the latest ending song.
My Pace (Sunset Swish) Bleach 6th ending - First of all.............I love this song. I love the vocals and the lyrics. The instrumentals fit in with everything and help create a sad mood. My only irk with this is that at the current feel of the series this song just doesn't feel right but nonetheless I still love the song. As for the animation it was just plain amazing. The dancing figures which I believe to represent the 3 new characters: Cloud, Nova and Rin Rin are just as cool as Kon. Also the animation shows a scene of 3 other characters (one woman, and 2 men) which is getting me interested in this "filler" arc.
Anyone else have thoughts on the new ending song please give.

I seem to be the only person watching Bleach who really doesn't like Ichirin no Hana. It's the only song featured in Bleach I've really actively disliked. Hearing music like that in the context of anime makes me think I'm sitting through yet another rubbish AMV featuring Linkin Park song X, I've thought it might grow on me as anime openings so frequently do, but it just hasn't. The worst ending for me would be Happy People. Happy People's problem was not that it was a bad song, more that it was inappropriate in context.
Generally, I like all the other featured songs in Bleach, but if I had to choose I'd say for openings, Asterisk. It was striking, and visually I think it really put across the spirit of the kind of title artwork Kubo creates straight away. As as a fan of the manga before the anime started airing (by all of about...2 months, granted) I was really pleased when I saw the opening. For endings my favourite was probably Life is Like a Boat. I think the tone of the song sets up the viewer for the kind things to come; if they'd used Happy People or Thank You as the first ending, I can't help wondering if people would have ended up taking Bleach as a monster-of-the-week type show, which it kind of started out as, but ultimately isn't. That and think Rie Fu's distinctive voice is wonderful. I also really like Life and Thank You, and I did like Houki Boshi at first, but then I think I played it too much or something, I got a bit tired of hearing it after a while.
