Can anybody tell me the name of the song at the dvd menu screen of trigun vol. 7?(puppet master) Also the name of the kenshin song that is played repeatedly in the trust and betrayal oav.

I don't have the individual DVD volumes of Trigun, but I'm pretty familar with the music. There are only two songs I know of in the series with actual singing; "Sound Life" and "Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku". However, I'm guessing what you're looking for is the name of a certain instrumental piece.
I'm pretty sure the piece they play in the menu is probably played some other time during the series. If you can give me another example of when they play this, then I will be more than happy to hunt down that piece and give you a name and track number from the OST. I have the LE tin box sets, so don't worry. I have every episode accessable. Same goes for Tsuioku-hen. There are two particular melodies that Iwasaki keeps using; one is played by a flute (most of the time), the other is a combo of strings, drums, and trumpet (though it varies between brass and woodwind at times). Again, if you can point out a particular scene, I can probably name the piece. |

Thanks Tony. The music in the puppetmaster dvd was played at the part where Vash shots his way through the floor. Then begins to remember those who were killed and is interrupted. I believe the Kenshin song I was looking for has the flute sound. Also the episode in trigun where Milly and Wolfwood are acting as husband and wife. Another instrumental is played during that part.

No trouble at all
 . The piece from Trigun is called "Suna no Hoshi" ("Sandy Planet") and is track #23 on OST 2.
As for the piece from Tsuioku-hen, that melody can actually be found on several tracks. I will list them for you: Track #1: "In Memories 'A Boy Meets the Man'" Track #2: "One of These Nights" Track #6: "In the Rain" Track #13: "Sound of Snow Falling" #13 is my favorite rendtion, as it has a much more peaceful ambiance to it. #2 and #6 actually escalate from the flute melody into the battle theme, while #1 is the main theme of the series (a combination of the two melodies I mentioned in the post above). #13 is pretty much that one flute melody with some very nice string accompaniment. |

Thanks for taking the time out to look Tony, it is much appreciated. That song never left my memory for some reason. (The sound of snow falling.) Definitely one my favorites. Also in the episode where Milly and Wolfwood are hiding that girl. A song begins to play. Can you Tony.....NAME THAT TUNE?
