Thats a pretty interesting artstyle they've got going on.

Very excited to see where this goes.

If this turns Madoka-dark, I'll actually be surprised.

Hmm .. very interesting. Looks like they are inside some 'steampunky' apparatus in most of this clip. Very different to the musical themed Promo. Also the backgrounds and art style is much busier than the typical SHAFT.

Edit: Ahh .. so it's inside a hanger where their pink spaceship (??) is parked.

Well one of the girls is bawling her eyes out (around 0.2 min) so don't expect it to be all bubble and squeak like Precure. Still I doubt it's going to be a PMMM type show.

Has the writer of this even been revealed? I don't remember reading anything about it.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe Spotlessden was just saying because its not Urobuchi?

Well we can pretty much guarantee its not going to be Urobuchi.

Also, its hilarious when people decide what anime staff members they want to care about at any given moment. I'll bet you can't name five prominent anime writers off the top of your head.

I can't name 5 anime writers, but i can name more than 20 manga, LN authors. And most anime are based on those. Urobuchi wrote Fate Zero LN, who is the screen writer for the anime doesn't matter to me.

Presents for SHAFT fanboys:

  • Reference to Hidamari Sketch's Yuno in the bath
  • Reference to Bakemonogatari's Senjougahara's stairway tumble

I loved the art-style, especially the workshop/hangar for the spaceship.

This looks like it will be fun.

Whoops, gotta move those goalposts.

This is an original anime, and by and large manga and LN authors don't write anime anyway. (Gen is, of course, an exception)

You said you were "not sure of this" because of the writer, which is silly because A) The writer hasn't been announced and B) Chances are you'll have no idea who they are anyway. Not to mention that it doesn't make a damn bit of difference how "sure" you or anyone else is of this, since you, and the rest of us, will have to wait till it actually airs to find out how it is.

So put the goalposts down and own up to your statement.

yeah, i'm not sure about this because i don't even know who is going to write this? I don't see any problem with it. That's why i said i will have to wait and see. Most anime, i don't have to wait and see. I already know if i'm going to watch or not, but this is not one of those anime.

this is too easy. Japanese happen to be easy to remember if you can read Chinese characters. Some of them i don't remember their first name. Some of them i only know the pen name because it's easy to remember something like Nisioisin.

Osamu Tezuka
akira Toruyama
Gen Urobuchi
Yoichi Takahashi
Tsukasa Fushimi
Mami Kuramda(Saint Seiya)
Oda(one piece)
Adachi(the guy who do alot of baseball manga)
Kubo(Bleach)
Kishimoto Masaashi(naruto)
Arakawa(FMA)
Natsuki(Moonlight)
Tomoko Ninomiya
Mizuki Kawushibi
Tsumi Ohba
Nisioisin
Reki or Reka Kawahara
Tanigawa(Haruhi)
Eiji(Maria & Box )
Izuru Yumizuru
Kazuma Kamachi

I'm not talking about writers of manga and light novels, I'm talking about anime scriptwriters and story compositors.
