It sounded like "Goodnight Julia" to me. There is a instramental version of it on the O.S.T. "Future Blues."

No, that would be "Elm," written by Yoko Kanno. It can be found on the 2nd Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, No Disc.

It's my least favorite of all the OSTs. It kinda sounds like a bad Jethro Tull demo. It's the "la la laas" that kill this song.

Nothing is wrong with Jethro Tull (AQUALUNG!!!). It's the song that sounds bad (in fact "Elm" is possibly the only Yoko Kanno song that I consider to be "bad"). |

well i believe that song is very good and goes well with that chase scene its quite fast paced music but also so calm and meaningful at the same time which is what makes the scene special in some ways and more memorable.
thats just my opinion though lol space cowboy |

Really?? It sounds more like Simon & Garfunkel to me. (...That could be bad too, I guess, depending on one's taste in music.) I like "Elm." It's not one of my very favorites, but it's certainly not bad, in my opinion. If anything else, it was certainly a bold choice to place such a mellow tune as bgm to a high-tension chase sequence. The juxtaposition makes the song more likeable to me. But hey, personal preference is personal preference. I understand that not everyone feels the same way that I do. |
