Delayed stream, huh... well, its a long runner so I doubt anyone else will pick it up so I guess I'll have to deal.

This is kind of odd considering Aniplex USA said the license was still up in the air when they were asked about it on Saturday. Guess it's possible CR didn't sublicense it from them, but I guess they'll probably end up with it anyway.
Well either way looking forward to this, and I'm not too surprised with the delay considering the same thing happened with Blue Exorcist. |

It could be that Anime on Demand was able to get the English Language R1/R2 region streaming license and then sublicensed to Crunchyroll to help cover its cost. That would explain the US, Canada, South Africa Crunchyroll region ... its the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and South Africa region that occassionally pops up, with the UK & Eire carved out by the primary streaming licensee. |

Aniplex of America has launched the series site for Magi: http://www.magi-usa.com/

The first link of Update 2 leads to the Japanese "Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai!" website rather than Aniplex of America's Magi website.

A straight-up anime adaptation of 1001 Nights would be fantastic in my opinion, but this doesn't look to be that. Can anybody who has read the manga comment on how much of the original stories are used there?

Essentially, they just use characters from it (or really, just the character's names, and occasionally relationships), and make references here and there. It's better to think of Magi as a shounen story/battle series that uses 1001 Nights as a setting, rather than an adaptation of 1001 Nights. I do agree that a straight-up adaptation of 1001 Nights would be quite awesome, though. ...But...Would it have to run for 1001 episodes? xD |

Well glad Magi FINALLY got a stream announced. ALso hope Aniplex is smart & gives Magi a dub down the line *Knock on wood*
Now we just need VIZ to pick up the manga and Magi can take its rightful place as the next big (attempt at becoming big) Shonen Sunday series in the U.S. Along side Conan & Inuyasha! But yeah can't wait to watch the stream!!! Been looking forward to this show! |

I hope this gets picked up by Funimation or someone else and not Aniplex themselves. God knows how expensive the boxsets for this would be (and if they'd even be dubbed)

Will probably be reading the manga for this as the series is airing but definitely seeing this getting a lot of episodes.
