Was worried that Yuru Yuri would hit the same big decline in second season sales that other otaku comedies like Milky Holmes and Squid Girl suffered from, but I see now that worry has been put to rest, at least for the first volume. Excellent sales! Fate/Zero is extremely consistent as well and Horizon looks like it'll easily get another 20k+ sales in its second season. A bit disappointed in Humanity Has Declined sales as the preorder estimations for it was quite a bit higher. Can't win them all though, I'll take a ~5k average for it.

A double dose of Saki on that chart. Looks like we might someday see the actual finals with those sales!

From what I've heard, the biggest issue is that the finals are still ongoing in the manga.

It gives me hope that Dog Days' might have been underestimated too, especially since the first season was on Stalker. I hope it gets up to at least 6-7k as well.

Oh man, it makes me wonder if Ichijinsha is willing to let some of the other Yuri Hime properties to get an anime adaptation. Of course the problem is most of them aren't long enough to make a proper cour series.
I still want a Wife and Wife anime adaptation though.

i think the final table is still to to be determined. They are only in semi final right now. I could be wrong, i haven't read it for like a month.

I felt that Dog Days S2 was a weaker product than S1. The charm of S1 was the cheesecake and heartwarming feel it gave off. S2 moves the series a lot more towards generic harem hijinks, what with the girls in S2 being naked constantly in situations they would have merely lost one layer of clothes previously.
As for Horizon -- I still do not get the appeal of that franchise at all. I watched up to Ep8 in the first season before dropping it. Last night I skimmed through eps 22-24, and if anything its even more confusing and nonsensical.
They have something like 6-7 different POVs happening at once, flashing quickly between them. A giant mishmash of unrelated world-building elements crammed together. Toori walking around naked the entire time, with nary a comment from anyone.
The entire history re-enactment stuff is a joke, with how they just rattle off historical battles in succession, the Spanish guy cheating by substituting a zerg of crappy fishing vessels for his real fleet based on some kind of DBZ Scouter powerlevel system. Then the whole Shakespeare multi-personality literary battle stuff, etc.
I've never seen a more jumbled mess in my entire life.

I hope that guarantees a season 3 for Horizon, it would be stupid for Sunrise to just leave profit on the table when each disc should do over 15k. I need my Neitomama.

The reason it didn't sell higher is because Amazon underestimated demand. The same thing happened happened with the first volume of Mouretsu Pirates, which sold a couple thousand more BD once additional copies became available.

Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever get those 2nd week numbers since next week is nearly all of the Summer titles left (except a couple), so it'll need like 3-4k 2nd week to show up.
