My previous thread wondered why Gundam Seed Destiny was so cheap from this one import seller on Amazon.com
animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20253 I have CD's that on the back mention www.k-ocd.com " K-O Records, LTD " So are these bootleg CD's or not? http://users.adelphia.net/~nxprime/P1020684.JPG I'm getting a sick feeling that they are even though I didn't pay for them too cheaply back in April. :/ Trust me, I had no clue about this sort of thing and it makes me sick to my stomach that I've been duped into buying this. I can't do a search for K-O Records on ANN because it links the main topic instead of the post that mentions that phrase and the threads run 14-20 pages deep with no subject titles mentioning them. So sorry if this is a dupe question. 1 of: Gundam Seed Complete Best [IMPORT] [Audio CD] Gundam Seed Complete Best [Audio CD] By: Gundam Seed Complete Best $17.13 1 of: Best of Inuyasha [IMPORT] [Audio CD] Best of Inuyasha [Audio CD] By: Best of Inuyasha $10.83 1 of: Best of Inuyasha V.2 [IMPORT] [Audio CD] Japanimation [Audio CD] By: Japanimation $21.96 1 of: Naruto: Best Hit Collection [IMPORT] [Audio CD] Japanimation [Audio CD] By: Japanimation $23.67 |

I've never seen a legit import CD cost less than $26 (unless it's a single or has only a few tracks). More than likely, those are bootlegs. Most sites usually provides a SKU number or something, like SQEX10051 for "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" or SVWC-7208 for the "Naruto" Best Hit Collection," a unique code that tells you the distributor and ID number.
For legit imports, I'd recommend YesAsia, Game Music, and Anime Nation. |

Yeah I can verifiy that I got bootlegs. http://www.chudahs-corner.com/reference/index.php?reference=bootleggers
This is just depressing, I mean, I had no clue. Was getting into some anime, wanted the music, looked for a good cheap price at a trusted website, and I get screwed. Since it's a zShop I'll contact Amazon to maybe get my money back, I don't know if that'll work or not. So are these sites an good as well? http://www.play-asia.com/ http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ http://www.rightstuf.com/ I kinda hate YesAsia because there's never a sale on popular music and the CD's I've gotten with them are always cracked in some way. :( I did buy all the DAI & Ayumi CD's from them so at least the real good stuff I like is legit. :) |

I've never tried Play-Asia, but CD Japan and Right Stuf are good. Although, Right Stuf only has domestically licensed stuff, so they're a good choice if you know the CD you want has been released in the U.S already.

I get stuff from play-asia. They're a little less expensive than yesasia. They don't sell bootlegs and I haven't ever had any problems with them. They also sell a lot of import video games.
