As for Manga I want to see get reprinted I'd love to see a rerelease of GTO, I wasn't a fan back when the manga was on sale so I never got to read it. But I have seen the anime and I'd love to see it as a manga (especially since it's one of my all time favorites). I'd also like to see a reprint of Kodocha and Marmalade Boy, both are what I consider to be "Shoujo Classics" in a way and I feel they should get reprinted for the newer generation of anime and manga fans. Same goes for GTO. As for mangas that I feel deserve to be seen in book stores across America I feel the best choice is the "Modern Day Cracktastic High School Comedy" Nichijou (Or My Ordinary Life), If you didn't know Azumanga Daioh did pretty well in the US when it first came out and it's still one of the most easily recognized and well known manga's to this day. So I don't see why Nichijou wouldn't do well. But that's my oppinion, I want to hear yours! Which Mangas do you feel deserve to be in America? Which ones do you think should stay away from America? And which coming of age manga's do you feel deserve a reprint? I want to hear from you! Razz

Domu by Katsuhiro Otomo. The Dark Horse editions go for quite a bit on Amazon. It'd be nice to get the omnibus reprinted for a decent price.

i mentioned licenced stuff here, as far as reprints go absolute top of my list is Mushishi. naoki urasawas Monster would be another and GTO the early years volumes 2-10 would be another just so I have all the GTO stuff thats out there as i managed to re-obtain the original series within the last year.

I would love to see Viz take Katekyo HITMAN Reborn! off hiatus. Amano does a great job in the writing of the comedy in conjunction with the shonen-style plot line. He manages to not go too far with it like Sawai did with Bobobo, for comparison, and keeps it down-to-Earth (which I very much like), not integrating a lot of fantasy elements. I just packed Gin Tama away from my shelf because I ran out of space Sad I'd like to not have to do the same with Reborn! if they do end up giving word that they've cancelled it.

I'm not sure how well it did over here, but you always read about people wanting it to come back, pleading for Viz to recontinue Reborn!. It's managed to hold its own with the likes of Naruto, Bleach, and even One Piece in WSJ, and after enjoying it so much I can see why.

Most of GTO The Early Years is still easily obtained, at least. Still need volume 8 which is strangely expensive compared to the others. Kicking myself for waiting too long to get caught up. :(

Well, of course it would be nice to get some of the things that've never gotten an english release, if just to scratch the itch of how the gecko-ended anime compares, in the vein of Deadman Wonderland or Future Diary, to use more recent examples.

I'm looking forward to reading Arakawa's Silver Spoon, but I figure that's a shoo-in, right? (please?) Oh, and a reprint of the original Battle Angel Alita or Ghost in the Shell would also be helpful, seeing as I'm not made of money.

Just by reputation, I'm interested in Vinland Saga, and other classics (Banana Fish), maybe Please Save My Earth. I think we can wait at least 2-5 years for a Fruits Basket reprint, if only because there are so many used copies still out there.

@manicli
Viz has been issuing Rosario + Vampire season II since April 2010, eight volumes to date. All of season I (10 volumes) was issued prior to that. Season II is a continuation, I think he changed publishers or something.

I'd love to see Emma A Victorian Romance get a reprint. I feel that it's a series that would appeal to a wide audience.

I'd also love to see someone license the Ergo Proxy spinoff manga.

I would like to see Viz do a reprint of the Ranma 1/2 manga unflipped. Thats they only thing I dislike about having the whole thing is that its flipped around. Give me a Viz big release like what they are doing with Inuyasha and I would gladly buy up a second copy of Ranma 1/2.

Monster and Please Save My Earth are two I would love to see re-released, even better in multi-volume form. Their being out of print and long series is making it really hard for me to collect them.

Another little gem I'd love to see re-printed is Good Witch of the West. Tokyopop got all the way to the 2nd to last volume before dropping it, and it's a great shoujo fantasy romance that won some library awards here but never got that well known. Fans who did buy it really want that one last volume to complete the collection, especially since Tokyopop was translating the original novels it was based on, but canceled those even earlier.

I would also adore for Dark Horse to go back and re-release and finish Shadow Star now that they should be over the fact that it's not a kiddy manga, and while they're at it give me Blade of the Immortal un-butchered and un-flipped.

I 2nd the seeing Emma get picked up again so new fans can get their hands on it because that was an instant classic, and even though a certain online-only company is releasing it (as they are with Good Witch, I'd like someone to give me physical copies of Sakura Kinoshita's Matantei Loki and Tactics. I don't buy digital copies, I buy books.

Oh, and the Robot project headed by Range Murata, though with how it's already gone through two publishers it appears to be abandoned again, but I don't care if I'm the only person in the country who bought them. As a comic enthusiast, doujinshi collector, and art student those books are amazing.
