I see the hints in the opening but I hope Switch x Momoka doesn't happen. For me, I find Switch x Reiko just as fun as Bossun x Himeko. The most recent episode about fortune telling had Switch get pretty serious about helping Reiko when she was being deceived. His reasoning was he "needs his rival at her strongest" or something like that. One of my favorite episodes in the series was when Switch and Reiko went computer shopping and Switch again stepped up to help Reiko out when guy she liked in junior high was rude to her. It's nothing against Momoka, I just enjoy all Switch and Reiko screentime.

I don't think Switch likes Reiko in 'that' way, he thinks of her as a friendly adversary, one to spar with. That's why he goes out of his way to help her, even to restore her faith in the supernatural when she doubts her own beliefs. There was that time he helped her get a makeover but I don't think he was trying to be romantic, more like he was angry that someone would insult his rival.
With Momoka however he is different. He doesn't help her overtly but goes to every concert of hers that he can and stands in the crowd. I think that reaction is telling. I think he likes her but doesn't want to be getting too close to her because he fears hurting others and getting hurt yet again. It's funny. I started watching SKET Dance thinking it would be an easy one-cour watch but it is still trucking along and I am still liking it. Some episodes are not all that good but others are quite funny and the series is on average very watchable. Then of course there's the backstory episodes which are all very strong (Himeko's was my favourite). Oh, and I like Housuke, he's cool. |

Her Mom was definitely awesome. It's totally obvious where Himeko gets her mean streak from. In fact, I liked how mother and daughter are so similar; feminine and girly and a bit pushy in how nice they are, but if you get them pissed off they are true demons. And the look on the father's face when he walks in and silently wishes Himeko luck before backing away was priceless.

Tsubaki's t-shirt was interesting ^^" spoiler[Guess he has an interesting hobby. President was right, they were kinda lame. Good thing he asked Bossun to help out.] Tsubaki was way too serious about the whole thing. spoiler[At least Himeko was enjoying watching them. The second part about mecha anime was good. Bossun was totally lost in the otaku world ^^"] |

Interesting to note: I've been rewatching the show uncensored on NicoNico. Kind of interesting to see the differences, such as no steam in the School Rhapsody bath scene (so full topless nudity and all). Also the previews they sometimes cut out for time from the TV broadcast.

Episode 68
spoiler[Chuuma-sensei's love life. That love potion had pretty complicated instructions. Bossun's plan was pretty interesting. Suzu was really determined to pair up her dad with Remi. Watching Chuuma's confused face was just LOL The restaurant part was just LMAO!!!!! I'm glad Remi decided to give the old fashioned way a chance in the end. The unexpected marriage proposal was just wow.] |

spoiler[This episode sure began in an interesting way! The whole Bossun poop story was ROFL, but also kinda disgusting. Encounter with Dante in the bathroom ^^" Bossun sure was shit out of luck with toilets LMAO! The second story about student council manga was pretty funny. Tsubaki & his idea of a mascot character was LOL though. What Sket did out of it was ever worse ^^"] |

Himeko's backstory is in the 30s (as in, number of episodes), and was also really good (possibly my favourite of the three). Bossun's backstory is in the 40s and while it wasn't quite as good as the first two, it still had its moments. I believe it was me who reckoned that the author has a better knack for drama than comedy. Episode 71
spoiler[Seriously, what happened to this episode?] Totally out of the blue.. spoiler[Seems like it was a game of some sort full of impossibilities.] The second part was more normal though. spoiler[Those visual kei guys are just weird. Dante pulled a full 180 on them and went enka style *shocked* That Dante really is susceptive to unconscious influences lol] Episode 72 spoiler[Looks like this time they're catching a thief. That guy was no ordinary thief. Freshman ninja Katou Kiriwas was really cool.] That story was over rather quick. spoiler[The second part was about Tsubaki as the new student council president.] Well, he does fit that role perfectly. spoiler[Usami, the new student council recruit was an interesting surprise.] |
