You would think that in 2012 all Walkmans would be Limited Editions.

Well, I mean unless you just read the title and jumped straight into the forum thread you would have been intelligent enough to read the article or even just look at the pictures to notice that it's obviously an MP3 player of sorts just named under the Walkman brand. I mean of course that is unless Walkman's have screens, pre-installed songs and Bluetooth support. Sorry to be harsh, but usually one would read the article before commenting.

The Hatsune Miku design at the back is really good.

Yeah, I was wondering last night when I first read those two posts why people felt that Sony shouldn't be making MP3 players. It's not like Sony hasn't been using the Walkman name since they stopped(?) producing portable cassette players.

Yep, and the Walkman MP3 players are actually pretty awesome. I own a NWZ-A816 and it's more or less indestructible. Great sound quality too, of course.

I read the article, and was lusting for the Z series for a very long time. This doesn't change the fact that dedicated MP3 player sales aren't exactly great.

It's a walkman Jim, but not as we know it.
Did I just see Apple on the iPhone talking to their lawyers?
Anyway, this is one thing I do want, and I could fill it to the max with pure Miku 10 times.
I was taught that 39 is "sanku"

I doubt most people buying this actually need an mp3 player.

There's two ways to pronounce numbers in Japanese. 3 is either "san" or "mitsu".

¥12800 = £104. That's a very expensive mp3 player when I can get the same blue one without Miku for £24 less with free shipping. Still sooo tempting.
mitsu sounds like Miku I guess. I'm being taught "Tokyo" style. mitsu, must be regional.

Planning to wrap the MP3 player with the tape from the spool?

I thought it was because the kanji for "san" looks similar to the katagana for "mi"?
