JOJO IS ON A FREAKING ROLL HERE!!!
How awesome is this for Jojo fans? PS3 game, Fall TV anime and now a re-release of the arcade game in HD??? I hope this release will also include the bonus features from the PSX and Dreamcast versions such as Super Story Mode and Kid Mode. |

So did they say if it has the features that were included in the PS1 port? I heard the Dreamcast version was missing a lot of these which made that version not so great aside from the Arcade Mode.

The Dreamcast version had Kid Mode as one of its bonus features I believe and it involved the cast being shrunk down to pint sized versions of themselves. Aside from that, I don't know of any other bonus features in the Dreamcast version.
But I do hope that this release has that mode plus PSX's Super Story Mode which lets you take on all the stand users. |

The Dreamcast version was the one to get if you wanted an arcade-perfect experience, as the DC version had both versions of the fighting game: the original "JoJo's Venture" & the upgrade "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future", which featured extra characters & a Survival mode. Personally, I was fine with not having the Story mode in the DC version because the game itself was just that awesome to play. Since it's going to be more expensive than a normal digital release, I'm hoping that it will have both the original version & the upgrade, like the DC version, but also have the Story mode from the PS1 version, making it the "true" complete version of the game. |

$20 seems absurd compared to other HD updates from Capcom. I've never played it, but what makes it better than Street Fighter 3, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Street Fighter 2 HD, etc?

Awesome. The game is pretty amazing, from the fighting system and the music down to the loading screens. And those graphics will look gorgeous in HD.
My only qualm is if this version is based off the old english releases, it probably still won't have any of the sound effects on-screen and the blood will be edited out. |

Not to mention the altered names will likely stay the way they were the last time the game was released. |

The game uses a unique system called the "Stand" system where your fighters can call upon their own unique "Stands" to aid them in battles with special abilities and combos. It's tough to put into exact words so I would suggest watching a few YouTube videos on the game to see how it plays out. It's definitely a stand out from your various Street Fighters and MvC's. Plus, the game only requires you to use four action buttons instead of the typical six needed for other fighters. You have your weak, medium and strong buttons plus a stand button that enables you to call your "Stand" into battle or send it back. Plus, there are a whole array of ridiculous combos based on your energy level. It's a really fun but criminally underrated game. And $20 isn't really that expensive considering the nature of the game and the amount of features that you will get for it. If anything, it's money worth spent. Any fighting game fan needs to check this game out. |

Well, crap, this sort of puts paid to my "Never give capcom any more of my money after Legends/MVC3" plans.
Also, depending on how long Zen screw around with, this might just be the perfect placebo for Persona 4 Arena. I mean P4 is basically "Diamond is Unbreakable (Part 4): the video game". |

From what I've been reading, looks like it's a port of the original arcade version, no PS1 or DC content included.
