Worth a shot asking: can participants create submissions done AMV-style? Or would that violate Rule 2 on the contest (don't use anything copyrighted)?

I would imagine that would violate that rule.
Does the website even show a deadline? I totally don't see one.

For that matter, so would using anything, since copyright is automatic. It's worth asking, however, which I have done (no answer yet).

I want to know that too. Because if I use clips from there shows then I can come up with some really good in about 2 1/2 hours no problem.(Not that it will win but something that does have a chance to win).

Hi Everyone,
All entries must be received by December 31st 2005.
As far as existing clips of anime. TAN would prefer all original concepts. If spot can be spiced up with anime clips then that can be adjusted after the winner is decided.
Please send only original material. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks

Huumph... I know the network is, in the end, focused on moving product, but I'd prefer what little staff they have concentrate on fixing their programming... I sure would like to see the rest of the 8 series I was watching that dropped out in the middle of their runs. And no... I'm not going out to buy the dvds you bait-and-switching hacks.

Since this contest is open to people 18 or over, I'd imagine a bit of competition is already knocked out.
