I'm probably getting my hopes up by mentioning this, but I hope they'll go with the female protagonist, since the manga adaptation already used the male.

yeah it really does seem unlikely for them to use the female MC and i dont see a reason for them to do it. i'd much prefer them to stick with minato (or whatever name they decide for him) but they might have the female MC appear in some cameos. also i really do hope this does well enough for them to do a complete tv adaption so they can cover everything.
