If the UK release is region free then excellent.

Such a shame, it's one of my favorite 90's anime movies.

Sure it's over the top with its violence and nudity. But for what it was, it sure was entertaining. Hopefully a company like Discotek could pick it up.

I highly doubt it. Every one of MangaUK's blu-rays has been Region B only.

So Ninja Scroll is going out of print, you know that means RACS will be increasing the price on the copies they have left.

I'm sorry, I think you meant to say "eBay" or "Amazon" sellers will be increasing their price. Rolling Eyes

It was a cool movie, and yes I too hope someone like Discotek can license it if Manga Entertainment is no longer owners of the title.

Good news for the British. Don't know why they didn't release it here in the States before their license expired.

Manga Entertainment's US branch is still around? If so, they've been very quiet in recent years...

Why do I get the feeling Discotek will save this eventually?

I don't blame them for rescuing this one.

They were brought by NBCUniversal in 2009.

Starz owns ALL rights to Manga Entertainment.

Ummm...no. Manga, and Starz Media, which includes Manga's "sister label" Anchor Bay are owned by Liberty Media. Liberty was originally spun off of TCI cable systems and is an independent company. Manga still exists in both the US and UK, but only as a label of Anchor Bay/Starz. The Weinstein Compant also owns 25% of Starz Media.

The US branch doesn't distribute much anymore, though they have put out things like Dead Space, Red Line, First Squad, etc.
