They can't stand their own history, so they have to dress it up a bit. Laughing

Can't really compare the two besides "lol, cute females as Japanese historic figures." One is based on a mobile game, the other on a light novel. It's also probably been in production before anyone saw that Sengoku Collection was going to bomb in home media sales.

The big question is how popular have the light novels been. The show very well could be just an advertisement to sell more novels.

Looks good even though I'm not entirely interested in it even though Studio Gokumi is involved.

Sengoku Otome: Momoiro Paradox, then Sengoku Collection, and now Oda Nobuna no Yabō.

All with famous Japanese historical figures as cute girls, and all of them featuring time-traveling.

At least this one looks like it might have a bit more action... :/

I was a little disappointed when Sengoku Collection was not this --- I'd heard about this series first, and was intrigued. This trailer makes me more intrigued.

I've not been following Sengoku Collection, but plan to check out episode 7, in which Basho comes to the modern world and the entire episode is told in 5-7-5 triplets. Some friends who have been following it have started referring to it as "the best series airing that you're not watching".

Wasn't a show like this done before? Even before Sengoku Collection?

I'm remembering something from one of the seasons last year or so...

In any case, part of my brain wonders how many times they can do the same material and still sell it.

edited to add: remembered the title: Battle Girls Time Paradox

Sengoku Collection is projected to do pretty well, actually. Its been topping the DVD rankings this season for a couple weeks now. It just started off really slow due to lack of advertisement and no extras announced.

The question remains how well do the subsequent volumes sell when there is the possibility of no cards being bundled (assuming only the first few volumes have cards).

It's quite intriguing seeing the show climb up the DVD rankings over the last month or so.

I'm 100% sure they'll add cards to them, they just haven't announced it yet. Its basically free money with very little effort.

True and I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not buying the show, so I'm not actively looking to see what's bundled. If the show can average at least 5K over the course of it's run...that'd be amazing.

If you're daring to imply that anything in this show could be as cute as Platinum The Trinity from Blazblue, then you wrong son. You're so very wrong.

If you're not talking about Blazblue...just ignore this.

lolz at the ending of the trailer. Once again, female character who likes to torture/beat up/put foot on face the poor hero.

Laughing

I've been wanting to watch a good harem series about historic japan.
