Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but that seems to be again due to the ANN staffer's being ignorant of Japanese.
'とまり木' should be read as 'tomarigi', rather than 'tomari ki'. 'Ki' becomes 'gi' because of sequential voicing.

Huh, didn't even know there was a sequel to Girls High. I'm assuming no North American imprint has picked this one up.

You shouldn't, considering you've proven the language barrier works both ways.

The last chapter of volume 9 has a definite "we leave off here, but follow us in season 2" ending. It would be nice if someone decided to pick-up the newer volumes, but I don't recall seeing anything announced yet.
