An aneurysm of the aorta? Good Lord, what a way to go. May he rest in peace.

I had a feeling this was going to happen after he wasn't able to repraise Mihawk's role in the previous episodes that had Mihawk with a speaking role. He shall be missed dearly.

NO! Colonel Campbell!! One of the legendary legends of voice acting. He'll always be remembered in classic shows and games. You will not be forgotten.

RIP Aono san.
His role as Sanada in Yamato was my first exposure to him but I loved his role as Roy Campell in the Metal Gear Soild games. His role in the Japanese dub of Batman TAS as the Joker was also nice.

I'll never forget hearing him in the first subbed anime I ever watched, Doujin Issei in Giant Robo, way back in 1998. Bummer.

Aww man, this is definitely not what I was wanting to find when I logged on this morning.
He was definitely one of my favorite seiyuu in Dragon Ball (especially for his Daimao performance), and though none of his characters are in the part I'm currently re-watching, it's still sad to think he won't be around now. Godspeed Mr. Aono, and I wish his family well.

He was also the voice actor of Dr. Wily in nearly every Rockman production as well, for 15 years or so I think.
Definitely will be missed.

Every Dr. Wily performance except the 'Wish Upon a Star' OVA, oddly: that was performed by Kenichi Ogata.

It's really sad to hear him die, BTW, for some of you who watch Batman: TAS, in the Japanese dub he voice Joker.

I cannot believe I'm hearing about this just now. RIP Aono, you truly were one of the great ones. You were the best Dr. Wily ever. Chat it up with Kawakami while you're there.
