To be completely honest, I do not know why they keep making anime for Shungiku Nakamura's manga...there are more BL authors who deserve an adaptation too...
I'll watch it...but still...

Simple. Her works sell a lot of DVDs...
Junjou Romantica is like a super hit in terms of DVD sales. It sold over 12,000 copies in its first DVD volume. It averaged around 9,000 for the whole series. Pretty impressive for a BL series.
I want SUPER LOVERS to be animated next.

I would love if other BL authors (Hinako Takanaga or Asou Kai) could get their own anime but Nakamura clearly knows how to sell yaoi.
Over the top drama, fanservice for the ladies, unrealistic (and somewhat illegal) romantic situations, and a checklist of seme-uke cliches.
That's what fujoshi want and they are buying it. Why do think harem & more anime for guys sell so much?
Even I can't help but giggle at how unbelievable her stuff is yet I keep buying it!
So if Hybrid Child isn't getting an adaption, then what is?

Either of her period dramas, Tosando Tentsui Ibun or Tsuki wa Yamiyo ni Kakuru ga Gotoku, would be a welcome change of pace from her usual makes-you-want-to-grate-your-teeth wimpy/crybaby ukes. Especially the latter.

Awesome I adore Junjo Romantica, so even though it's very unlikely, I'm hoping this "new anime project" they are talking about is Junjo Romantica Season 3 Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi was decent Hybrid Child is by far amazing, I CAN'T wait for that one
I wonder what it is...so I guess we get to look forward to a Hybrid Child anime AND a mysterious project lol ()

While I do generally like her stuff, I can't disagree. Still, why would you think the same wouldn't be true if she did a non-BL story? It's just kinda her style.
Also, count me among those waiting eagerly for the Hybrid Child OVA(s?). I love that manga.
