Hey Polysics fans in the New York area... This weekend, there are two big Polysics events in NYC: a meet-and-greet and a concert.
WHEN: Saturday (10/1) from 5 pm onward WHERE: Virgin Megastore in Union Square (52 East 14th St.) WHAT: Meet and chat with the Polysics. Get 'em to sign some stuff or just take pictures with them in their jumpsuits. Tofu is reportedly going to be giving away Polysics-related freebies and goodies and such. WHEN: Sunday (10/2) at 10 pm, door open at 6:30 and opening band goes on around 8:30 WHERE: CBGB (315 Bowery, downstairs) WHAT: Concert! ($10, 16+ with ID, opening band: The Talk) SIDE NOTE: This is possibly going to be one of the last concerts at the legendary venue CBGBs. NYC residents will know that CBGB is being forced out of its historic location--despite organized protests, the club's lease is not being renewed. The owner is trying to move the club to a new location, but even if he does, it will be the end of an era--the current iteration of CBGBs is an icon of punk and rock music history. Go while you can!
