Having Goshuusou-sama Ninimoya-kun on that list tells me they want ecchi titles, more of them, because that one would be considered pretty old by now. R-15, Maken-ki, Himari, and a few others are ecchi in nature, but much more recent. Most of that list are shows from last year, which is why Ninomiya-kun sticks out obtrusively. I could guess that they already have a license for that in the bag or it could be part of a deal.

OreTsubasa is another interesting choice, but it's not nearly as provocative as it might seem. It has some scenes, but it's mostly about the male characters and their connection. I'm not sure how to even approach that one from a marketing standpoint.

And it seems like the article linked to the wrong Twin Angels.

I hope everyone votes for Chihayafuru! I did! Along with Penguindrum, because I want to watch it, and Ben-To, which I'm really surprised nobody licensed yet.

I actually lol'ed when I saw Omarmori Himari on the list. I'd buy it, of course, but I don't know what possessed FUNimation to only now start considering it.

Also, Aria the Scarlet Ammo isn't on the list, even though they simulcasted it... Sad

I got entirely too excited when I saw Nichijou on that list. Everyone please go vote for it right now.

Will be interesting to see what comes from this though...so many people complain about the amount of fanservice titles that Funi licenses, it would be interesting to see if that is truly what fans want.

Was kinda odd to see Baka Test 2 and Guilty Crown on there...dont they already have DVD rights to both?

Ano Hana!

also...

"The poll indicates that any hypothetical release "would be priced similarly to how FUNimation currently prices new 13- [to] 26-episode series." "

it actually says "The releases would be presented similarly to how FUNimation currently releases new 13 - 26 episode series"

The survey does say that at the top, but it also says at the bottom:

"The releases would be priced similarly to how FUNimation currently prices new 13 - 26 episode series."

Well that was fun. Will the results be disclosed publicly so that we can match it up against Funi's future license announcements?

Voted for a few titles in the first voting round as I watch a lot of crap, and I'm obligated to buy what I watch.

However, in the second round where you only get to pick four titles I chose:

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, because it does have a great premise and some good drama.
The Tatami Galaxy, because it is a fantastic show that deserves some love. Wouldn't be too easy to dub though.
Chihayafuru, because hell yes. It is a great show and deserves a release.
Mawaru Penguindrum, because although I wasn't as enamoured with this as other people it was pretty good.

Hopefully if enough people choose Chihayafuru then it will get a release. If that happens, make sure you people actually go out and buy it like the rest of us, otherwise FUNi will get burned and they won't take these polls seriously anymore.

On another note, I made sure to fill out those comment boxes with some stern words and constructive criticism, not to mention making fun of them for not getting PMMM. I also included some pleading for good measure.

People said they wanted Princess Jellyfish, and they licensed it. Maybe they have enough pre-order data in for Princess Jellyfish (its been up for a couple months now) and they think it's a good strategy just straight out asking what people want.

I'd rather see NISA get Chihayafuru and ADV get Ben-To, but we'll see what (if anything) happens. I haven't watched Penguindrum for some reason, so I don't have any preferences about it (other than perhaps not Funi if I want more than a bare-bones release).

The problem is that these polls can be hijacked by those who love a show but might not want to necessarily buy it. Or people who are straight-up trolls.

That's why I spent so much time when writing the comments, so that the staffers could tell that I was A: legit and B: someone who was actually going to buy those titles if they came out. I didn't write essays or anything, just a paragraph or two, but still enough to make them take me seriously.

After all, the raw poll results are not important. What are important is the kind of people who are voting for certain titles.

well among those of course mirai nikki & also show stealer of fall season ben-to really must have dub ben-to series.

also give other like see maybe c3, Goshūshō-sama Ninomiya-kun, Omamori Himari, twin angels.

if like wild card picks like r-15 & maken-ki give funi still going whole funi-service route since got high school dxd.

yet same company did master of martial hearts yea i'm wonder will they cash in their "money in the bank" case for Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai wresling anime to advance license.

hey it might happen if funi-service go for that or over 9000 for manyuu hikenchou.

I wish Dennou Coil would get licensed by somebody...
I'd be happy if NISA did since they've been getting some really good shows that are often low-key titles.
