I just got back from the Puffy show in Chicago at the Vic Theatre. The show was great; I'm not the biggest Puffy fan, they started the show with a few songs I hadn't heard of. Eventually, they played Puffy no rule, love so pure (japanese), and that's the way it is (japanese). They also played the themes to their American shows "Puffyamiyumi" and "Teen Titans".
They started their encore with Green Day's "Basketcase" which totally blew me away. The concert was a lot of fun and I almost got my cell confiscated for grabbing a blurry picture of the stage.
I live in Nashville, TN, and I don't see a lot of J-Pop concerts here. Chicago was the closest a band has played to where I live, and the city and the show made it worth the trip.
I didn't buy any of the merchandise because it was all labelled "PuffyAmiYumi" rather than just "Puffy". However, the lion's share of it sold out long before the band took to the stage.

Just got the new CD "Nice" today after seeing the show and I can tell you that among the songs Puffy performed that I previously didn't know are Planet Tokyo, Tokyo Nights, Invisible Tomorrow, Urei, and Red Swing.
If only I had this CD before I left for Chicago I'm sure the concert would have made a bigger impression on me. I like to hear bands play the old classics when I go to a concert so that I can sing along. All of the above songs are really great Puffy songs, but I was hoping for more from Jet CD and all the older stuff.
