I'd imagine the description should say "a woman skilled in archery and horsemanship".

I never even considered the possibility of A Bride's Story cosplay, but it's neat to see it. I'm ill qualified to judge, but it seems rather well done. Capturing even an impression of the detail on Amir's costume couldn't've been easy.

The livestock are a nice touch.

Wow, love it. I wonder if there are more closer and bigger images?

She's the third Amira I've seen.

And that makes this set stands out from those taken in cities. The photographer had a small complaint that the farm was too hilly and forestry; the Eurasian Steppe should have very few, if any, trees. The photographer did mention her (unlikely) plan to take this set in Mongolia. Wink

Another excellent point is that the photo was taken with traditional film, not digital.

Waiting for photos from you. Very Happy

Here you go. However, photographs uploaded to Plurk are resized to 800 x 800 maximum, so I'm afraid there's no bigger picture, unless I contact the photographer to obtain the original.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the costumes in Bride's Story very similar to the traditional clothes in Kazakhstan?

Wow, before this I had only seen one other Bride's Story cosplay (and thanks to dormcat I've now seen four!) and I loved the setting they used there, very nice.

Exactly! And because of it I was shocked when first saw this manga. Like... wow, this cute girl wears clothes that I saw in history books back in my school days! But still, I haven't read a single volume of this manga. I suppose it's time to make my purchase in Rightstuf or somewhere else.
