I just finished volume 8 last night. So far, I think it is one of the best volumes but...can someone please tell me when this flash back ends? which volume...I mean, if it were to end right now and pick up at the present day in volume nine, that would be great. Volume 4-8 just seemed a little...redundant...still good though...

I finished reading volume 8 about 2 or 3 nights ago and it was great. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was that there was a spelling error that I caught.. well, it was kind of obvious when they spell mind "mnd". I'm really looking forward to the next volume and also looking forward to reading the stack of manga that's laying on my headboard(?) (the self behing my bed, is that thr right word?) anyway, good volume good manga.. buy it or guts will rip you to shreds.

Most of the plot of the flashback is resolved by volume 13, but it ends fully in volume 14. That's where it jumps forward by 2 years and we are once again in the time of Guts the Black Swordsman. Also, there's a little treat at the end of volume 14 that steps away from the main story for a bit. Hopefully Dark Horse prints it, but I don't see why they wouldn't since the book would lose a good chunk of page count otherwise.
JustinSane, where in volume 8 was that mispelling? I like to review each volume and bring typos and other errors to my editor's attention so that they can hopefully be corrected in reprints. I missed this particular error and it's not in my original script so if you recall where it is that will save me a lot of time of combing through this text-heavy volume again. Small mistakes aside, I'm glad you guys are enjoying the series so much.

You're right, there it is. It's spelled correctly in my original script, so it must have been a typo somewhere along the editorial process. I see why I failed to notice it at first too. The first vertical bar of the "N" looks like it could do double duty so it's easy to overlook. For a change, I'm glad they convert the text to all caps. And as typos go, that's about the least of all evils. Thanks, I'll make a note of it.
