I was just checking the Encore Action Channel schedule for September and they’re showing Texhnolyze, Evangelion: Death & Rebirth and End of Evangelion.

Buy a tivo so you can tape the episodes and watch them later.

First of all, if you really wanted to see the episodes, you'd buy the DVDs. Second, Encore is only showing the movies, not the series. If you want that, watch Adult Swim Thursday nights starting on October 20 at 12:30.

Back when I had Digital Cable (ahh... the good ol' days of Tech TV and Skinemax) Encore Action played lots of the Anime with subtitles. Any word yet if this is the case here?

Oh, I can just imagine someone who's never seen the series checking out End of Evangelion's broadcast on Action Network on a lark:

"WTF is this psychotic ****???" Twisted Evil

Good to hear that Encore has finally infused in some new titles, though. They had just been recycling the same batch of shows for the last few months.

Well I for one will enjoy seeing the rest of Texhnolyze, I missed the first couple episodes as well as the final two when we watched it in my anime club as I had to work.

As for them showing the NGE films, two words...Bad Idea, I can imagine all the threads that will pop up here with incredibly confused people. Rolling Eyes

They had subtitles? I remember when it came out and it didn't. Did they go from dub to sub and back to dub again, or did they only do a some shows with sub and other dub?

IIRC, it was an off-and-on thing. I'm sure I saw Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell and the first 2 Patlabor movies on Encore with and without subtitles.
Well, maybe I only saw Appleseed dubbed...
Tekken was dub-only for sure.

Well, I have the first 3 TEXHNOLYZE DVDs and I'm getting the last 3 at the end of the month

As for EVANGELION, I'm waiting for ADV to release a THINPAK for the new PLATINUM EDITION thing *which wouldn't be the case had I been in the US by the time they were releasing it*

And even if I did have the DVDs, as much as possible I try to watch any anime that I like off the TV, to help with ratings

I mean, I have ALL of Paranoia Agent, but I still at least try to watch the stuff off AS

--------------------------

So wait, it's only TEXHNOLYZE then?

They showed Shadow Skills recently. One week they showed it dubbed and the next week they showed it again with subtitles.

I forgot to mention they will also be showing Dead Leaves on Aug. 23 and 26.
