Though Luci Christian does a fine job with Kaname and most of the supporting cast proves capable (see if you can ID the long-time VA who voices Bonta-kun; those who know English VAs will probably be surprised)

It's Tiffany Grant. This was too easy! Very Happy

(and it's Luci Christian, not Lucy. Wink )

I personally don't see this as a negative. If you want to be a bit technical, since each episode is divided into two different stories, technically there are six episodes in this volume. Cool

In “The Hard Sell Fetish” a purported costumed sex offender must be dealt with when he attacks some of the girls, while Sousuke tries to avoid being recognized by a traffic officer self-assigned to the case (the same psycho officer who tried to chase him and Kaname down in episode 2); despite the subject matter, this story is nowhere near as serious as it sounds, and indeed much weirder.

The weirdest part of this episode was when spoiler[the pony-costumed perv and Sousuke were doing their bad Pokemon imitations:

Perv (in pony costume): Pony, pony, pony, pony?
Sousuke (in Bonta-kun costume): Fumo-mo?
Perv: Pony. Pony, pony, pony, pony, pony, pony, pony.
Sousuke: Fumoffu. Fumoffu.
Perv: Pony, pony
Sousuke: Fumo!
Kaname: So you guys are bonding over wierd noises?!?!]

Anyway, another solid read, Theron. Wink

Did ANN get artwork for each volume before it was released or something? ANN has for Volume 1 what the final art is for Volume 2, which I can now only assume will be the final artwork for Volume 3.

Anime Castle has an imageof the artwork for FMP? Fumoffu - Full Metal Ferver (Volume 3 of the series). It's a picture of Teletha and Kaname in their school uniforms. Hopefully ANN will use the correct image when Theron reviews Full Metal Ferver (assuming that he plans on continuing to review Fumoffu, of course Wink ).

Noticeably lacking in the DVD menus are skip-to-chapter screens for each episode.

There is such a thing as chapter skip buttons. Chapter skip screens are unecessary.

I disagree. Suppose you're watching a movie with 50 chapter breaks (believe me, they exist) and realy want to wach scene #27. Why skip through the whole movie when you can access the same scene through the chapter selection screen?

But this isn't a movie. This is an anime DVD. You can select the episode that you want from the main menu. Each episode is split into OP, Part A, Part B, ED, Preview. You don't have to skip through 27 scenes.

Granted, the lack of the chapter skip menu isn't as much of a problem for this one, since the individual episodes are listed on the main menu screen, but for someone who does a lot of chapter-skipping (like me) it's still an inconvenience. Minor point, admittedly.

On other points: Yeah, I don't know what's up with the artwork, either. And right now I am planning to review vol. 3, but that's still several weeks off so we'll see how things go.

I was replying to the "Chapter skip screens are unecessary" (as in all of them are unnecessary) comment. I will not argue with the fact that putting them on anime dvd is unnecessary.
