Like GTO? Shonan Junai Gumi is more crude and rude.

Can't wait for the last volume of GTO to come in to complete my collection, bring on SJG.

Tokyopop's editor over at AoD mention it. Announce during Comic-con. It's on the front page of their website.

It's just a shame that, once again, I can't read the news at AOD without hearing Beveridge's worthless and self-serving commentary.

When it's on the website, I'll be convinced.

Until then, I'll remain cynically unhappy.

That's how AoD is run, and that's what a lot of people like about the site. If you hate it, don't visit the site. If you must visit the site for the news, just ignore the commentary.

Sometimes I envy Chris's ability of editorialize / comment right in the news.

For better and worse, we've made it a rule not to editorialize in the news. Obviously some people like it...

Even if I could get the manga here I would never bother myself with it.
Honestly, I found nothing of the funny, crude humour that made GTO passible for me, present in this manga. Maybe it was the worn out art style, or the change of the nature of the characters (really, Onizuka seems nothing more than a dumber version of Kintarou from Golden Boy in this piece) but it never worked for me. Bad Company on the other hand Very Happy that was more GTO style. But it`s just me...

Worn out? Lol, Toru only had just starting drawing manga when he created Shonan Junai Gumi. Bad Company's actually part of SJG anyway (Kodansha just re-released it when Shonan Junai Gumi got reprinted). I think you should try reading some chapters from later on in the series Wink.
